About the Locator Tag

Working principle – The locator tag emits a Bluetooth signal that privately and securely connects to any device in the “Find My” network, and then its location is triangulated by its connections and sent back to your iPhone.

Bluetooth Technology – It utilizes Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to communicate with nearby Apple devices, allowing for seamless connectivity and assisting in pinpointing the tag’s location. It need to be within about 33 feet(10m) of an iPhone or other devices.

The Locator Tag is not a GPS tracker – Locator Tag is mainly used to prevent loss, cannot be positioned in real time. It utilize Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology and nearby Apple devices for location tracking, which takes time to respond.

Find My App Connection

Usage Requirements:

1. iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 14.5, iPadOS 14.5, or newer versions, with

two-factor authentication enabled. Not compatible with Android phone.

2. “Find My” feature on the phone is enabled.

3. Bluetooth on the phone is enabled.

4. Strong Wi-Fi or cellular network signal is available.

5. “Location Services” are enabled: Go to “Settings” > “Privacy” > “Location

Services”.

6. To use “Precise Tracking” and view the most accurate location of the Life Box

Tag, please grant location access to “Find My”. Go to “Settings” > “Privacy” >

“Location Services”, then scroll down and tap on “Find My”. Select either “While

Using the App” or “While Using the App or Widget”. Then enable “Precise

Location”.
